Dr Jamie Barnier
Clinical Psychologist
Dr Jamie Barnier is a doctorate-level clinical psychologist servicing youth (12yrs+) and families, as well as adult populations since 2009. Jamie’s experience includes senior level clinical positions within both child and youth and adult mental health services in the public, private and non-government sectors.
Jamie has previously worked in the areas of psychiatric inpatient wards, employee assistance programs, early psychosis, child and youth mental health and child protection, palliative care and hospital settings. He has a particular interest in youth and young adult populations, anxiety and psychosis. Additionally, Jamie is endorsed as a supervisor for provisional and registered psychologists across all pathways and those undertaking specialised training for endorsement as a clinical psychologist. Jamie recognizes that the decision to come to therapy can take great courage and therefore, strives to always adopt a compassionate, gentle and respectful approach to his work. |

- responses of others toward bereaved individuals
- recovery from mild-moderate injury;
- Previously supervised post-graduate clinical psychology students, and registered mental health professionals (psychiatric registrars, social workers, mental health nurses, occupational therapists) and conducted teaching and training on optimizing outcomes in therapy
