About Emily

Emily values bringing compassion, authenticity, and presence to therapy. She provides a non-judgemental space to help develop insight into stuck points and to provide clients with the resources to cope with difficult thoughts and feelings.

Emily's approach is trauma-informed, and gently invites clients to explore any impact of past experiences on current symptoms. She uses kindness and presence to understand how unwanted behaviours develop as a means of coping.

Emily recognises the unique capacity of each individual and tailors her therapeutic approach to explore what matters most, and uses that as an avenue for healing.

Emily practice is informed by a variety of evidence-based interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self-Compassion, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and parts work therapies (e.g., Internal Family Systems & Schema Therapy).

Emily has experience supporting adults and young people with a diverse range of mental health difficulties.
